Content

I just wanted to share a lesson God taught me last week. For the people who don't know I am a gas man. I deliver gas for a living. I also live in Northern Michigan were the snow gets deep all winter long (170 inches last year). Also, it gets cold. I am sick of crawling through waist deep snow, getting home tired, and not feeling content.

I want a job that I can come home and feel good about myself. One of my spiritual gifts is the desire to help. God has blessed me with this desire. Due to this I want a job were I can feel that I am being used. A week ago Friday God took this and slapped me in the face.

Slowly, I have been looking for something else to do for a living. I was getting frustrated because I can see that I might be doing this for a while.

That Friday God gave me two opportunities to help someone out. Back to back stops I had older women who were "shut ins". They don't get out much if ever. One I know has no family and has not been married. I had an opportunity to talk to the first one for about 15 min. and it made her day. She was first happy that I was nice to her dogs. The second stop, an old hippy, came running out of the house to talk to me. She said she has been waiting for me to come, she was reading in Romans and was thinking about me. She was amazed on how we are saved by grace through faith. It is not of our works. She had claimed to be saved before this, but I never realized how much my talking with her before about salvation and my faith had effected her.

The secret to be content with our lives is to find every opportunity we can to glorify God. It doesn't matter if we are just a gas man, burger flipper, or a CEO. We can be content and happy with our lives if we give it to God. I know most people read this and might say, DUH. Yet, for a slow learner as I am, I have to be slapped up side the head by God.

Thanks

facebook.com

I know I am late on this. This is nothing new to most people, yet it is to me. I am already addicted to facebook. It is fun to look back at the people you went to college with, or high school with think about the good times. I found quite a few old friends I haven't seen in ages and always wondered what happened to.

If you see me on facebook and you know me, feel free to drop me note.

Thanks

DOWN WITH THE B.C.S.!!!

Before I start my rant I just wanted to update my one fan (Megan) =) I had a great Thanksgiving. It was better than I had wished for. Surprising, I didn't get into much of a political argument. I went the whole trip, until the final hour of Thanksgiving at my Mother-in-law. I made the mistake of having to drop a duce. I decided for everyones benefit I would use the basement bathroom. Lindsey's step dad was down there and we started to discuss after the movement.

It wasn't that bad of a political argument either. I had a great time.

Ok. Enough of my great life.

B.C.S. Is horrible. When are they going to realize that the only fair way to decide national champ. is to have a playoff system. I know the reason they don't is because of the money in all the bowl games. It is sad when money becomes the focus of College sports. The kids on deserve better.

I do agree that OSU should be #1. That is hard for me to say being a U of M fan. However, the BCS was originally set up that no 2 loss team would play for national championship game. Look what we have. LSU is only there because the media wants to see it. They think it will bring in the most money. What about Georgia? They were number 5, then 1 and 2 both ended up with losses. And they are still #5. What about Kansas with only 1 loss? I know they had an easy schedule, but don't they deserve it more than a team with 2 losses. Or how about Hawaii, they had a perfect season and they don't get a chance for it?

COME ON, let the kids get a chance. Just because the BCS is and the media is so corrupt they will do whatever it takes to get more ratings, and more money.

Let them play it out to see who is national champion. PLAYOFF!!!!!!!!

Thanks
