Study break

Just procrastinating a little. I know that is a shock for most people (all 3) who read my blog. I procrastinate.

I added a new link today. The Ragin Redneck is a friend from work. He is a nice guy, just a little messed up in the head. He is just about as nice of a guy you can find in Benzie.

I have been hard at it for only about an hour, so I better get back to work.

Youth

I must say, since Lindsey and I have taken leadership over the youth group I have studied the bible a lot more. I will be honest before I have become lazy in my studies. Not now! I do have a fear now that I am responsible for them and there spiritual life. Constantly I fear that through my actions or teaching I might lead them astray.

This morning I just spent 4 hours studying for Wednesday youth group. If a question comes up, I want the answer. Also, I want to make sure that everything I speak is of God, and is what God wants me to speak.

I have earned a new respect for what Ric has done over the years. We do need to thank him and people alike for there service and sacrifice they have given to God's work. For many years Ric did this without complaining and with a sacrificial heart. Thanks Ric. Thank all the Sunday school teachers, pastors, and leaders in church and other outreach events.

Just bloging a few concerns I have.

The way it is

As well as Lindsey did, I got a friendly reminder about my actions and words on Blogs. Apparently people read our blogs. That in itself was a shock to me. It is easy for me to just spew my words out on this blog without thinking the repercussions. It is amazing how brave you can get when you don't see peoples faces.

I need to be careful of what I say. Ephesians 4:29 Let no uwholesome word proceed from your mouth, but only such a word as good for edification according to the need of the moment, so that it will give grace to those who hear.

That is out of the authorized bible, NASV (just kidding Eric).

This does pertain more than just physical speech. Also my Blog. So for those who I have wronged, I do apologies.

That does not mean I won't tell my opinion when asked. I still consider myself an open book. I just might not give it to you if it does not refer to you and if it will not help you in any matter.

I know I have not been keeping my blog up to date, I am just lazy. That is the real reason I have slacked.

My goal is to start it back up and make it at least bi-weekly.
